25th September, I don’t like mondays…

Had a really good weekend. Saturday had that meeting and had brunch I suppose at a ‘yom Cha’ restaurant (Hong kong equivalent of Dim Sum) It was a strange experience. It was a huge restuarant/dinner hall (very very popular!) I had no clue about how it worked but the guy I was having a meeting with sorted it out. Basically they bring trolleys round of different small dishes and you basically just pick. The great thing is that trolleys just keep coming past with random stuff and again suspicious meats. Great stuff.

Anywho with nothing else to do I wondered through town and saw this kid busking wth a violin. It didn’t seem right at all. I like the little kid on the left – full of joy. Went to circlular quay and had a nap in the park went home and anpther kip. Saturday the usual Drinks at Lisa’s and Vicki’s, and then out with no plan.

Got back at 4:30am, and bloody got woken up at 11:30 to get out and about in the sun.

Ended up going down to the opera house to get some tickets for a show but there wasn’t any seats together left. So after a long walk getting there we get a taxi to Darling harbour and basically just chillout there for the rest of the day. There was so much going on it was great.

There was this thing called ‘chalk the walk’ where there were loads of people just doing chalk art and people were allowed to draw on the bridge walk. Then there was this bazaar mini festival going on – check this crazy dude!

This kid was chucking water at his sis you can imagine what happens a split second later. Just one of those random moments….

There was a brazillian festival thingy going on too so just sat and watched that capo-martial arts dancing thingy and other stuff. That was good fun. Didn’t undertand a word thoughas it was mostly in brazillian. Anywho just ended the evining wathing australian idol and getting a domino’s.

Work tommorow, busy day awaits.

23rd September, At last

Finally pretty much upto date on the pics. So just click on the relevant section. I’ve split australia up, too many pics so Cairnes and sydney so far! So now I can do things properly! Just go to these sections for the latest, but the other sections do have photo’s you may not have seen from the previous email attachments. Its a big laugh and doing this has made me realise again how much I have done. Especially now after settling a bit and getting down to work!

Oh I did have 2 beers last night. That and a 3 shots of Southern comfort and ice. My meetings been moved till twelve! Hurrah!

22nd September, Updating

Hi guys, you may well know I am currently updating the site so it actually has photos in the entries. For all the previous stuff I have put it all in its own page which you can click on the main toolbar. Still needing to update the Australia pics so bear with me.

I have t go to work soon – gay. And I have an early morning meeting at 9am (on a sturday!!) to go through some projects. Oh well its all good, only a maximum of two beers tonight. Really – I have to be on the ball.

Anywho here is a photo of a photo when I did that bridge climb – awesome. You can’t really get an idea of the hight involved from these but trust me it was high… And I didn’t just superimpose myself either!

There I am, looking slightly gay no thumbs! not to worry!

21th September, Kareoke and stolen whisky

I am drunk. WE are drunk. I am learning Japanese and Korean. My japanese friendhas stolen (like theif) – but love it, $100 worth of whisky from his work. He needs to get som dom perignom for tommorw and i will be happy. We have been singing lots of gay loves songs – sorry its true, from westlife to mariah carey – all i want for christmas is you. Its 4:45am. I don’t work till 5pm so I wont be getting up till 2 at least. Ko wagan na – don’t be afraid in japanese, ko chang ma – korean.

Yeah anyway I am drunk I emphasise that – the beauty of wireless!

WE NEED KAREOKE! we are off for a hungry Jacks – burger king!!!! get involved!!

Hey Mr Marko de jour, nice chatting to you – i’m glad people still look at this, and its brand spanking new so this ones for you… I feel inspired to write more stories of tears and joy!

18th September, Pie full of blackbirds

Meeting went well and I as soooo relieved they are a small company – very relaxed, cool bunch of guys and gals. Two of them are going overseas for a job and they basically need someone to hold the fort and takeover whilst they go of for a few months. Its not going to be full-time, but per project and they have a few on the go, so I will be able to relax a little during the day when I am not freelancing. So that’s good. (zis is my job)

(Zis is my other job) Start the graphic artist one shortly so at least that will be regular. Still cant be bothered though. Havn’t even sorted a TFN (tax file number yet!!) so I will be stupidly taxed for a while!

14th September, I officially work here…

I got that job ater all, but delayed saying yes as late as pos. I figure its gotta be less hassle than working in my normal industry. But at least im sorted for 4months till I decide to bugger around the rest of Australia. Still unsure of wether to take it though but I guess its because I’ve become too darn lazy…

So going to celebrate tonight, get a few in in happy hour and do the harbour bridge walk with lisa early evening tommorow. Should be a great thumbs up photo!

Its the official steve erwin tribute day soon (unless they’ve had it) but I notice the number of stingray killings have gone up tremendously here in oz.

12th Septemeber, settling down nicely…

So I’ve been here a month. And I’m still not ready to work – mentally anyway! I have an interview/software test thingy later today so its time to don the good old blazer (well go shop for one) and feel like me again. Won’t be going tottally to town on it this time – pay for this job isn’t great but it will sustain me for the next 3 months and Its a hell of a lot better than fruit picking or cold calling, door to door sales…. Just good old layout and design for magazines and newspapers.

Working hours are 4:30-11:30pm so I can still get up at 11pm lounge around abit and go out straight out to the bars and clubs…!

In terms of what I’ve been upto? Same old, oh went to a strip club on saturday (not my choice I was out voted by girls?!). Guys back home – think honeypot with a stage area I’d like to say classy girls but…. Got loads of free champagne though.

Hopefully this will be my last week of ‘lounging’ with cups of tea. Looking forward to the weekend for some more beach action and falling over alot as we are going to get some rollerblades and be real beachies…

Part of me wants to hold out for a better job – got more things in the pipeline this week but I suppose I can always say no.

Oh, and i’ve just rediscovered nutella – its bloody awesome!
