29th November, ‘Mo’vember.
Another week flying by – usual mid week drinks and monday night was a blinder – back in at 9am. Italian housemate marco came back from his night out same as me around 1am he’d had far more than me and wanted to continue on the games….Scruffy’s notorioussticky floors ring a bell, also bumping into a father christmas sitting on the streets giving us words of wisdom (I wil have happiness – spose i’m pretty happy nowadays anyway!) but I wouldn’t describe him as a tramp as he was the guy giving us ciggerettes! he did keep saying “beebib bib beeb” a lot though.
Feeling soo much better now. Never heard of ‘mo’vember before but apparently it is quite internationale. Basically growing a ‘mo’ in november and raising cash for prostate cancer. It was a good fun. Flatemate of Mike’s was organising the event. obviously I just bought I stick on one (look how ridicuolous I looked!).
So it all started with me buying a bottle of rosetta, everybody else followed suite buying bottles of it after. We went through 3. I’m sure before they met me they were just on regular tooheys new.
Spinning the wheels of steel…. I am far more professianal than steve, can’t you tell?
Me ‘n’ Jerry, Looking remarkably like laurel and hardy.

I couldn’t resist and got a massage which was painful at the time but I thought no pain no gain which worked pretty much worked in asia. But no. Woke up the next day with the achey shoulders and neck.
“you put your left leg in, your right leg out, in and out, in and out and shake it all about…..”
Holly and TK, The Udacs….
Spotted this girl getting involved – “honestly it’s real”, I was a little suspect. Holly, Mikes’ other flatmate was nice enough to lend me her fluffy gangsta hat.
“Iza da pizza ready a?!” Steve striking quite a pose.
I had an incredible moving ‘mo’, but these guys did it properly, check out the circus ’strongman’
mo on the right (who coincidently was called Jay too), it was incredible.
So after the party finished, I lost the others at the next bar/pub/club, went upstarirs to find them and ended up gatecrashing a girls 22nd birthday getting some free grub and food. It all started with a wave as I walked into there area and I thought they were looking at me when in fact they were looking at the tv. I still walked up to them and just said ‘hello’.
So thats the weekend. Back to work and all that, but I tell you tuesday was hard going especialy after not getting much sleep that day after getting back a 9. Word on the street is he wants me to come to a party tonight after work. Damn you italians….
November 16th, Feeling a little homesick…
Been feeling down the last few days. Couldn’t work out what it was until yesterday. Missing the xmas period – my favorite time of year! Here there is nothing xmassy anywhere. No music playing no lights, no TV. I guess Its also cos I am settled down a bit and have time to think about these things! Oh well, I’m perkin up though – downloaded some xmas music to remind me of home….
So the last weekend was more of the same just more extreme. Thursday through to sunday. Went out of the city though which was good – to newtown. Hey its not far but as soon as the city scape dispaears I feel like im on holiday again!
Thursday night went out with Todd from work up oxford st, which is more ‘alternative’ should I say.
Also a bit of random sock action. I have no idea too….
Shakin’ my bootay on the dancefloor and some random. Not as scary as he looks….
So saturday night was out with vicki and her mate Sally down to newtown. No idea where it is but like I said it was out of the city and went to someone’s place for some pre drinks etc…
Anywho. Long long evening and morning. Ended up leaving this club (the gaff if you’ve been there – I know!) at 6am in full daylight and going to another 24hour pub till about 9 ithink. Tried to get some sleep but didn’t and headed to newton music festival where I have never felt so bad in my life (one of the worst anyway), hence the thumbs down. Should have taken more photos and taken a look around but I was so lazy I didn’t really move. So much was going on I feel like I missed out, but it was all fun nonetheless.
So again really no dangerous travel stories here. But they’l be back. I’m looking forward to doning the back pack again and feeling ‘dirty’. For now I have 8 weeks left so I best enjoy as much as I can before its all over and I am reduced to tears… So best stop feeling homesick.
United Defense Aviation control. UDAC
Another week, another UDAC (each ad has its own UDAC code) I know things about the Yellow pages and the production process than anybody should ever need to know. Its completely useless information that quite frankly when I leave Oz in january I will have a ritual burning of the yellow pages…
More of the usual drinking going out the and the new sunday sesh on darling harbour – a kind of get together and introspective of the week. Last sunday the England Cricket team turned up at the bar we were at. I didn’t have a decent enough camaera on me damn it! Mike told Flintoff ‘good luck in the ashes’ an all that….. The Ashes start soon.

Les aka the Coach – starting that BBQ was a complete dog’s dinner. We eventually got it going though. Then we just sat admiring the steaks, they were indeed phat.
Check out the phatness…. I certainly ejoyed.
Steve and his girlfriend. He’s almost got the pose right. Jerry on the right again ‘no cameras pliss’…
Here we have the Captain (mike), The General ( my new nickname) and TK. Don’t even ask about the guy Toby on the right trying to do his ‘magnum’ out of Zoolander.
So all in all A good week. Well, I had fun anyway.
