Jay’s Big Adventure

Thumbs to the World!

November 16th, Feeling a little homesick…

Been feeling down the last few days. Couldn’t work out what it was until yesterday. Missing the xmas period – my favorite time of year! Here there is nothing xmassy anywhere. No music playing no lights, no TV. I guess Its also cos I am settled down a bit and have time to think about these things! Oh well, I’m perkin up though – downloaded some xmas music to remind me of home….

So the last weekend was more of the same just more extreme. Thursday through to sunday. Went out of the city though which was good – to newtown. Hey its not far but as soon as the city scape dispaears I feel like im on holiday again!

Thursday night went out with Todd from work up oxford st, which is more ‘alternative’ should I say.

Also a bit of random sock action. I have no idea too….

Shakin’ my bootay on the dancefloor and some random. Not as scary as he looks….

So saturday night was out with vicki and her mate Sally down to newtown. No idea where it is but like I said it was out of the city and went to someone’s place for some pre drinks etc…

Anywho. Long long evening and morning. Ended up leaving this club (the gaff if you’ve been there – I know!) at 6am in full daylight and going to another 24hour pub till about 9 ithink. Tried to get some sleep but didn’t and headed to newton music festival where I have never felt so bad in my life (one of the worst anyway), hence the thumbs down. Should have taken more photos and taken a look around but I was so lazy I didn’t really move. So much was going on I feel like I missed out, but it was all fun nonetheless.

So again really no dangerous travel stories here. But they’l be back. I’m looking forward to doning the back pack again and feeling ‘dirty’. For now I have 8 weeks left so I best enjoy as much as I can before its all over and I am reduced to tears… So best stop feeling homesick.

  1. O Tannenbaum, o Tannenbaum,
    wie treu sind deine Blätter!
Du grünst nicht nur zur Sommerzeit,
nein, auch im Winter, wenn es schneit.
    O Tannenbaum,o Tannenbaum,
    wie treu sind deine Blätter!

    O Tannenbaum, o Tannenbaum,
    du kannst mir sehr gefallen.
Wie oft hat nicht zur Weihnachstzeit
ein Baum von Dir mich hoch erfreut!
    O Tannenbaum,o Tannenbaum,
    du kannst mir sehr gefallen!

    O Tannenbaum, o Tannenbaum,
dein Kleid will mich was lehren:
    Die Hoffnung und Beständigkeit
gibt Kraft und Trost zu jeder Zeit.
    O Tannenbaum,o Tannenbaum,
dein Kleid will mich was lehren.

german christmas song for you ;>
