Cairnes
So from singapore I flew into brisbane then straight into Cairnes. Was strange being back into a proper english speaking western culture again. The weather was beautiful, strange cos it was their winter. You couldn’t tell!

Me out of the balcony at gilligan’s. Great place for meeting people and a welcome change from singapore where the only person I really chatted to was that indian brahmen telling me i’ll be rich beyond my wildest dreams! Well, 3 yrs and 3 days of good fortune and I should go into business/politics, oh and the amazing forehead!

Me and Christian, another danish guy. This is our ‘push the button’ pose (from the chemical brothers track) i.e. dancing whilst sitting…

Just checking my snorkel fits before the day at the great barrier the next morning!

Such a beautiful day to sail…. Though I wasn’t feeling 100% after a night out and getting back at 2am rising at 5:30am…

The water was sooo clear you could see the fish… Nice island too!

This is where Jill worked so me and christian checked it out and got free loads of free drink!

This is were we met this woman from papua new guinea. She had a said tale to tell. SOmething about her husband running off with another woman after only being married for a couple of years moving her and her daughter to australia. Least me and chris brought a smile to her face.

Saw a bit of ‘jazz’ too. This guy is obviously giving me the eye!

Pie! hadn’t had one in 5 months! But it was from an award winning pie shop…

Pies in Paradise – Winner! I was so excited!

Lovin the cowboy action….

My first galss of wine at the in a long time!!! I enjoyed….

Beatiful views once again. On the way to cape trubulation along the Daintree river.

Still cruising down, cup of tea in hand…

Stayed at the PK Jungle hostel where I met Amanda and Emma from london, tequila shots galore.

Chris happilly brings us a couple more beers…

It only takes a beer and a tequila and then everyone gets involved!

This guy obviously got too involved! He was on his hands and knees looking like he was praying, his mate sez to leave him ‘he’s fine’ (obviously).

Capes of tribulation at the beach…

Back to Cairns. At PJ o Brian’s drinks before my final take of to sydney at 4am. Picture courtesy of www.tyler-sabrinablogspot.com.

This is Tyler (not tiger- grrrr) and sabrina, they make an appearence again in sydney….They have been travelling round the world too from canada. Hence their site above…

Sabrina found my pose hilarious. She found this picture even funnier – its me if you look closely…

The final minutes in cairnes. Just leaving gilliagans had a great laff! Shame I have had no sleep, its almost 4am in the morning and I have a flight to sydney at 530 to catch…

So after a 3 hour flight and an hour of getting my bearings in sydney it was time to hit the hay. Was so nice to have a room like this for a couple of nights – thought I’d treat myself…
