Chang-Rai
Spent a day here, its furthest north of Thailand bordering on Burma. Had lots of fun here, and went down the Mekong river to Laos which is officially another country…

Hurrah made it to the border, as the sign sez…

You can make out Burma/Myannimar just down yonder.

I was straight into work the good old 9-5. Business wasn’t looking good…

One of the groups of tribes we visited. Those are heavy. They were traditionally used so that lions or tigers couldn’t bite certain parts of the body – for safety. So it became tradition…

One of my fave pics. It was such a beautiful day and I just thought it looked like a classic painting…

…”and you are?” He bloody jumped right after this! All I was doing was giving him a peanut.

Yeah, the golden triangle.

The mekong river, or here known as the triangle. Drug dealers used to trade on that there small island which used to be shaped as a triangle. Its the borders of china, Laos and some others (I forget). Nowadays they just do it at the casin you can see in the far distance with the orange roof…

Along the Mekong river…

To Laos.

I bought one of these ’snake whisky’s’. The centrepoint to any drinks cabinet. Unfortunately I had to chuck at Australian immigration. They are very strict on bringing food stuff into the country – Damn it!I was going to eat the snake and scorpion, seeing as I am double hard.

The most amazing temple I have ever seen…

‘Its coming from the heavens’ – ’save yourselves!!!’

see?! Amazing. It was like narnia or something?!
